Step By Step

1.

Charts are a great way of showing motifs or patterns, such as cables, lace or colourwork.

2.

Each small rectangle represents a stitch.

3.

The chart key tells you what the symbols in the retangles mean.

4.

Each row of the chart represents one row of knitting.

5.

Right-side rows are read from right to left.

6.

Wrong-side rows are read from left to right.
