To join in a new ball of the same colour, knit until you have a yarn tail of about 20 cm/8” left.

Take your new yarn and tie a knot onto your old tail, close to the needle.

Now simply continue knitting, leaving the knot on the wrong side of your knitting.

When you finish your project, you can undo the knot and weave in the ends to prevent it from coming undone.
