Step by Step

How to: make a twisted cord image - image 1

Step 1

Take Two of your favourite yarns and tie each end of your cord to your knitting needles. For this technique you’ll need two pairs of hands, so grab your friends.

Step 2

Pull the yarn from either end until taut.

Step 3

Turn the knitting needles in opposite directions, keep twisting! Stop when the cord is tight and completely twisted.

Find the centre of the cord and hold as you bring the needles together.

Release and watch your cord magically twist!
