So you know slip stitch, but what’s this purlwise all about?! You might have seen your pattern telling you to slip a stitch purlwise to create a neat side edge to your knitting, or it might form a part of a more complex stitch pattern.

If you’re slipping your stitch purl-wise, make sure your yarn is at the front of your work.

Take the tip of your right needle and insert it into the stitch as if you are going to purl it.

Instead of wrapping your yarn around, simply slide the stitch off the left needle. Congratulations, you’re a stitch jedi now.
