Step by Step

How to Knit Crochet Seam - Step 1

Step 1

Place the two knitted pieces side by side with the right side facing up.

Make a slip knot 15cm/6” from the cut end of the yarn and hold it behind your work.

Insert your crochet hook throught hte first edge stitch of the first piece, from the right side to the back.

Grab the slipknot wiht the hook and pull it through to the right side of your fabric.

Insert the crochet hook through the first edge stitch on the second piece, from front to back.

Wrap the yarn around the hook.

Pull the hook and yarn through to the right side.

Pull the hook and yarn through through the stitch already on the hook. You now have one stitch on the hook.

Insert the crochet hook through the next edge stitch on the first piece.

Wrap the yarn around the hook.

Pull both the hook and yarn back through to the right side, and through the stitch already on the hook. You will now have 1 stitch again on your hook.

Repeat steps 4-11 until you have joined the pieces together as needed.

Cut the yarn and pull on the last loop until the yarn tail pops out of it and secures the last stitch.
