The word sustainability has popped up a lot in recent years, especially from brands, and we know that for a lot of people it’s begun to lose its meaning.
For us, being mindful of our environmental impact has been a part of our DNA from Day 1. However, we know there is always more that we can do. So let us introduce you to “Crafting A Better Future”, our way of documenting our journey towards exactly that – a better future.
We’ve been sharing updates on this page, the most recent being April 2024. This is a space for us to tell you what we’re working on, what’s going well and what we’re hoping to do better. We know that being a business and being sustainable are slightly at odds with each other, but for us this is about being the best brand we can be with as little impact on the environment as possible.
So for now, we want to thank you for coming on this journey with us, and keep your eyes peeled for the Crafting A Better Future logo, it will be there to show you our most planet–friendly kits and yarns.
Us crafters know that making your own clothes is already a more sustainable option, but looking after them well is also a big piece of the puzzle. That’s why we teamed up with Restoration London to bring you this tutorial for three different visible mending techniques. Perfect for 8mm (US 11) knits, we’ve demonstrated these with our Alpachino Merino on the beginner-friendly Audrey Sweater. Happy mending, Gang!
