NB. The sample in our video is 24 stitches across and has a 1×1 rib section at the start. Depending on your design you may not want to include this.

1. Work until you get to your cable stitch section – in our video we make 1 knit stitch and 1 purl stitch before the cable section starts.

2. Grab your cable needle.

3. Slip the next 2 stitches onto your cable needle and hold behind your work.

4. Knit the next 2 stitches on your left needle.

5. Knit the 2 stitches on your cable needle.

6. Slip the next 2 stitches on to your cable needle and hold in front of your work.

7. Knit the next 2 stitches on your left needle, then knit the 2 stitches on your cable needle.

Repeat steps 3 to 7 to the end of the cable section. Our row end with 1 purl stitch and 1 knit stitch.

Purl the next row, then knit 1 row and purl 1 more row.

Now it’s time to twist your cables again!

Work steps 6 to 7, then steps 3 to 5. Repeat this sequence to the end of the cable section.

Purl the next row, then knit 1 row and purl 1 more row.

You have now worked the 8 rows that make up the honeycomb cable pattern.
