Social Media Manager

Wool and the Gang and DMC are looking for a Superstar Social Media Manager to join our growing team in Central London.


With the main objective of further growing our social media following and community engagement, the core activities will include:

  • Community management for two growing craft brands
  • Sourcing and planning beautiful content for all social media accounts
  • Scheduling all posts with on brand tone of voice
  • Reporting on all social media performance
  • Devising and implementing growth hack tactics to grow a handful of social media accounts

Reporting to the Head of Digital and working closely with the Head Of Content, the role is ideal for an enthusiastic social media associate looking for the next step.

  • You have at least 2 years of social media experience

    Community management - monitor online reviews and respond to each review

  • You can juggle several brands and social channels (Instagram, Facebook Pages, YouTube accounts and more)
  • You are an Instagram stories whizz
  • You are inquisitive and always up-to-date about latest social media features
  • You know how to monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • You have a strong understand of social media KPIs and have basic Excel skills
  • You have experience sourcing and managing content development
  • You are a team player with the confidence to take the lead
  • You are super duper organised
  • You know at least 10 yarn puns
  • You can juggle 8-10 yarns at a time
  • Most importantly, you love social media

Wool and the gang are looking for an Ecommerce to Executive to join our growing digital gang. Reporting to the Head of Online, this role is a great opportunity for an Ecommerce enthusiast with a love of all things digital.


As the Ecommerce Executive you will work across all departments to ensure the site maintains the highest level of commercial excellence at all times. Some key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Create and maintain promotions to support products and services via digital marketing activity across all channels.
  • Conduct weekly site walks and analyse weekly product and category performance to ensure that ‘value added’ sales.
    opportunities are recognised and seized.
- Preparation and prompt presentation of line management requested reports and documents.
Oversee content creation for product listings. Coordinate unique product descriptions and other product specifications in a timely manner for product launches.
  • Requesting and preparing suitable product images and assets.
- Uploading assets onto site for product, category pages and homepages.
Optimising product/category and tutorial information to improve organic rankings on Google and YouTube.
Ensuring product stock levels and prices are up to date on all channels at all times.
Maintain high quality standards on merchandising of products across all online channels, providing feedback as necessary to the manager.
Manage the approval and integration of UGC via Olapic to homepage and product pages.
Monitor on-site customer reviews and be the main point of contact for on-site customer service queries.
Support line manager with site development tasks, whilst monitoring and escalating any site issues.



The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate:


  • Proven commitment to providing outstanding levels of customer experience on-site.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Previous experience of using Google Analytics and CMS, with a general comfort learning and using new software and systems.
  • Confident, approachable and adaptable.
  • Dedication to constant self development with a desire to ‘learn through doing’.
  • Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with a team player mentality and a general positive approach to all elements of the role.

We're looking for an excellent graphic designer to join our small team full time. Working closely with every team such as design, digital and E-Com but also commercial and operation, this role is the perfect opportunity for you to get your hands dirty, experience a fast paced and dynamic company and explore the fashion and Crafts industries.

As a graphic designer, you will be the Design Director right hand man/woman and you will hold a key role within the company as you will be the guardian of the brand. Working very closely with all the teams, your focus will be to execute and collaborate on creative concepts and deliverables to support our digital team and our communications throughout the year. Aside from this, you will work on concepts and graphics for offline material such as packaging, sales support, patterns and also marketing, social media and PR assets. You will make sure WOOL AND THE GANG is always looking sharp, interesting and amazing.

In more details you will:
Design for both digital and print material
Work across multiple channels from E-Com, Marketing, PR and more
Design exciting marketing assets for our homepage, landing pages, blogs, weekly newsletters, online campaigns, Social Media and more
Design outstanding offline experience such as packaging, catalogue, sales support and more
Consistently working closely to the creative, digital/marketing, commercial teams to produce relevant material.

You have:
A strong interest in fashion and craft, you are an original and versatile team player with a passion for graphics (typography, composition, image-making, layout...) for digital/E-Com and print experiences. We want a proactive designer who is switched on, attentive to detail, highly creative and eager to become ambassadors of their craft.
