How to knit Honeycomb Cable Stitch

The Honeycomb Cable Stitch is an easy cable stitch to learn, it creates a beautiful 3D effect. We love knitting the Honeycomb Cable in our Crazy Sexy Wool, but you could try knitting it in our Sugar Baby Alpaca to see how it changes the stitch. Cast on multiples of 8 for this stitch, now you’re ready to get going!

We have worked Honeycomb Cable stitch over an even number stitches using our Crazy Sexy Wool in Duck Egg Blue, and we knitted an extra stitch on each row to stop our knitting from curling. So cast on using 12 or 15mm knitting needles and follow our step by step instructions.

2. Hold the cable needle to the back.

3. Knit the next two stitches from your left needle.
