How to make the hanging loop

1. Cut a length of yarn measuring approx. 1m/40″.

2. Knot each end around a knitting needle. Give one needle to a friend and grab the other one yourself. (If you don’t have anyone around, simply tie one end to something solid like a door handle.)

3. Pull the strands so they are taut, then turn the needles in opposite directions to twist the cord.

4. When it’s been twisted really tightly, fold the yarn in half and let it twist together. Remove the knitting needles and un-do the knot.

5. Tie a knot at each end of the cord.

6. Thread your twisted cord through the top of the bauble, then tie the two ends together.

7. Trim your ends close to the knot, then feed the loop through until the knot is hidden inside the top of the bauble.

Now you’re ready to trim your tree!
