YOU’LL NEED:

3 balls of Crazy Sexy Wool

2 poster tubes – approx 8cm/ 3″ diameter, 94 cm/37” long (available from stationery shops)

2 empty yarn cones (like the ones our old Jersey Be Good cones came on!) OR make a cone from a flat piece of cardboard

1 roll of duct tape

Optional: a trusty sidekick to help you wield your needles.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR NEEDLES

Start by taping an empty yarn cone to each poster tube – this forms the pointy tips of the knitting needles. If you don’t have one, make a cone from a flat piece of cardboard.

To make your needles smooth, and allow the yarn to slide more easily across them, wrap tape around the rest of the poster tube as well.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR MOBY SCARF

Holding three strands of yarn together, cast on 20 stitches using the cable cast on technique – check out our video tutorial for our how-to.

Work four rows in stocking stitch. Rows one and three will be knit rows and two and four will be purl rows – click on the links for our video tutorials.

Cast off your stitches. Need the skills? Here’s the video.
