The Ageas Bowl was lit pink to raise awareness and funds for a new breast cancer support centre due to open in Hampshire run by national charity, The Haven.

In the spirit of girl power, female cricketers from all over the UK came together for a pre-match T20 Skills Challenge, hot on the heels of an announcement by the England and Wales Cricket Board that the first Women’s Cricket Super League will be launched next year.

Pink was the order of the day but knitting ain’t just for the ladies. Hampshire County cricket team, dropped by ahead of their NatWest T20 Blast match against Glamorgan and got to grips with their knit stix and sported their Bali Bands – check out out Tumblr for a free pattern!
